Philips said the 2D Auto EF enables accurate cardiac ultrasound evaluations, even for patients with conditions, such as renal impairment, that prohibit the use of contrast. Employing artificial intelligence (AI)-powered quantification, Philips noted the 2D Auto EF Advanced feature bolsters the reliability of measurements for patients with challenging acoustic windows.

The Transcend Plus software, which will be featured at the upcoming European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) conferences, also provides clinicians with access to 26 FDA-cleared applications for automated and accelerated ultrasound tasks.

"Transcend Plus represents a bold leap forward in the evolution of echocardiography, reinforcing our commitment to continuous innovation, empowering clinicians with AI-driven tools that enhance confidence, accelerate decision-making, and elevate care at every stage of the cardiac journey,” said David Handler, the business leader for cardiology ultrasound at Philips.
