Picker International has promoted several executives to new positionswith the Cleveland-based multimodality vendor. Surya Mohapatra,formerly head of the company's MR division, has been named seniorvice president, with responsibility for Picker's MR, nuclear medicine,and Nordstar divisions. Nuclear medicine vice president and generalmanager James Fulton will report to Mohapatra, as will RobertGylling, managing director of Nordstar.
Mark Schardt was named vice president and general manager ofPicker's x-ray division. Schardt comes to Picker from the ultrasoundgroup of Siemens Medical Systems. He replaces David Schmidt, whois now vice president of special projects.
Picker CT veteran John Barni has been named vice president andgeneral manager of the company's CT division. He has been withPicker since 1973 and has been director of CT marketing and productplanning since 1990. To fill Barni's responsibilities, Gary Kaufmannhas been named CT marketing manager.
