Picker International parent General Electric Company (GEC) last month suggested coming changes in its corporate structure. The London, U.K., firm has been in discussions with defense industry contacts to discuss the company’s future strategic direction and, after a Dec. 21 meeting of its board, announced that it will separate its civil businesses from its aerospace and defense concerns. The firm did not disclose in detail what form these changes would take. A Picker International spokesperson declined to comment on the effect GEC’s restructuring would have on the Cleveland-based imaging vendor.
