In a recent post, blogger Elizabeth Goss, a.k.a. Radiology Wife, reminisces about being a young girl and waiting for her radiologist father to come how from work (that is, on the nights he made it home).

Indeed physicians of all stripes struggle with finding time for family. The latest Great American Physician survey, conducted by our sister publication Physicians Practice, revealed that a full quarter of docs spend fewer than six waking hours with their families a week. And only 31 percent manage to eat dinner with their families just about every night.
