A new kind of service organization opened its doors last month, offering professional applications support for ultrasound equipment manufacturers. Professional Sonographers (ProSi) of Phoenix provides ultrasound companies with sonographers on a full-time, part-time, or temporary basis for such uses as onsite product demonstrations and installations, customer service follow-up, trade-show staffing, and customer training programs. ProSi's staff will have clinical expertise with most manufacturers' systems for cardiovascular, radiology, and ob/gyn ultrasound applications, in addition to specialties like brachytherapy and 3-D imaging.
