Europe got a look at R2 Technology's lung cancer computer-aided detection March 7 to 11 at the European Congress of Radiology. R2 showcased the CAD software at the Vienna meeting as an integral part of its ImageChecker CT LN-1000 system. A beta unit has been installed at the University of Vienna. Additional installations in Europe will soon follow, according to the company. The ImageChecker CT display workstation offers options that assist review of thoracic CT exams in 2D and 3D formats. These include LungMap for navigation and nodule visualization, as well as automated volume and area measurement tools. To further expand the clinical reach of the product, R2 and Sectra have agreed to integrate the lung analysis software into Sectra's Clinical Solutions Network.
