TigerLogic, acting in concert with products from over 20 different vendors, is the sole vEHR repository for a demonstration coordinated by the standards organization Health Level Seven (HL7) and the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative that takes place during the annual conference of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), in Orlando, Fla., from February 22-26, 2004.

The TigerLogic XML data repository is a leading operational data server that uses a patent-pending XML indexing and profiling technology to aggregate, store, and retrieve data of any type and from any source as XML files in the mid-tier -- the center of a data management architecture where information flows between end user computers and large-scale systems for tracking and processing health records and lab data.

For example, in the case of botulism reporting, TigerLogic captures and shares digital CDA forms to decrease the time between diagnosis and government agency response to what could be bioterrorism. Similarly, a tumor reporting scenario shows how a patient with cancerous tumors can get streamlined care, when X-Rays and other tests are digitally shared among everyone involved in the treatment, from surgeons, to primary care physicians, to insurance companies and hospital cancer registries.
