Digital radiography systems from Shimadzu will soon come with computer-aided detection software developed by EDDA Technology to find lung nodules. The newly struck partnership between the two companies covers not only the distribution of the combined systems through Shimadzu's worldwide sales channels, but also calls for the development of new CAD applications for use onboard the DR system. Although EDDA’s IQQA-Chest CAD product is approved for sale in the U.S., Europe and China, its combination with the Shimadzu DR system is still pending in these markets.
