The Uptime Service Center of Siemens Medical is growing up. The one-story building in Cary, NC, is adding two floors, a move that will triple its current 20,000 square feet. The service center is Siemens’ hub for servicing its imaging products in x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and mammography. Customers call in to the center to schedule service and technicians are dispatched. The center also offers a help desk and technical support engineers who can help solve problems remotely. The expansion, which should be completed in November, will accommodate up to 400 staff. The center originally housed just 123 workers.
