Digital light box developer SmartLight has reduced the price of its products by up to 40%, thanks to a significant decrease in the firms production costs, according to the Hackensack, NJ-based company. As a result, SmartLights entry-level SL 2000Plus product now costs approximately $10,000, while the Smart Motorized Viewer starts as low as $49,000.
In other developments, SmartLight has reported an increase in sales volume, owing to its direct sales efforts and distribution deals with Fuji Medical in Japan and Siemens Medical Systems in Germany (SCAN 6/24/98 and 4/14/99). The company has also opened an expanded manufacturing facility in Yokheam, Israel.
