SMT buys North Carolina mobile firm

SMT Health Services of Pittsburgh has purchased the assets ofTrans Carolina Imaging, which runs three mobile MRI units in NorthCarolina. SMT said that it intends to upgrade two of the unitsand sell the third. The acquisition boosts SMT's mobile MRI

Trans Carolina Imaging, which runs three mobile MRI units in North

Carolina. SMT said that it intends to upgrade two of the units

and sell the third. The acquisition boosts SMT's mobile MRI fleet

from 12 to 14 units.
