Swissray International has begun installing the first of its AddOn-Buckyx-ray digitization devices. Three units will be installed at theLangental Hospital in Switzerland, with placement of the firstAddOn-Bucky scheduled for late February.
Swissray, of Hitzkirch, Switzerland, introduced U.S. audiencesto AddOn-Bucky at last year's Radiological Society of North Americameeting (SCAN 12/13/95). The device is a cassette-style buckythat retrofits to conventional x-ray units for digitizing x-raystudies.
The company also reported this month that it has completedan equity placement that raised $4.5 million. The funds will beused for sales and marketing and acquisitions.
