Toshiba Medical Systems Europe has established a partnership with Medcon Ltd. The two firms hope the alliance will help each company develop and market advanced digital angiographic site maps and integrated connectivity products. With the partnership, TMSE of Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, adds Medcon’s cardiac network and archive offerings to its Infinix monoplane and biplane angiographic product line. Medcon’s products include telecardiology with voice overlay, as well as the ability to publish cardiac images on both an intranet and the Internet.

TMSE and Medcon have already won contracts with hospitals in six European sites, including the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, the Victoria General Hospital in Blackpool, U.K., and the Catholic University Hospital in Rome. The two firms emphasized that their alliance doesn’t interfere with the activities of Medcon’s established dealers.
