Trex Medical has announced an agreement with Premier whereby the Trex 4000M digital chest radiography system will be the only such system offered by Premier to its network of healthcare providers between Aug. 1 and Nov. 30, 1999. The CCD-based Trex 4000M is based on technology developed by Imix of Finland, and accessed through an agreement with Imix’s U.S. partner, Advanced Instrument Development of Melrose, IL (SCAN 10/14/98).

Trex inked a similar deal with AmeriNet for mammography systems sold by both its Bennett and Lorad divisions. Danbury, CT-based Trex has also expanded its national purchasing agreement with Columbia/HCA to include the Lorad MultiCare stereotactic breast-biopsy system.

In other deals, Trex has obtained a three-year mammography system purchase agreement from Novation, the supply company for healthcare alliances VHA and UHC. Mercy Resource Management, a nonprofit healthcare shared-service organization, has also signed a three-year mammography purchase agreement.
