Since launching its GlobaleMed subsidiary in February, Miami Lakes, FL-based World Diagnostics has entered into agreements with local distributors in Chile, Romania, South Africa, and Poland to speed delivery of its diagnostic products and increase its presence in non-U.S. markets. The GlobaleMed system offers online access to product ordering, product specifications, product demonstrations, and live chat with medical technicians on the Web. The system also allows customers to choose to view some information in their home language; however, the animated demonstrations appear to be available only in English. World Diagnostics plans to have a local presence in at least 33 countries, including such developing markets as Malaysia, Thailand, and Iceland, by year’s end.
