Video: Interview with Cynthia Sherry, MD, at RSNA 2011

CHICAGO - Cynthia Sherry, MD, chair of the Department of Radiology at Texas Health Dallas Presbyterian Hospital discusses the relationship between radiology practices and hospitals.

Cynthia Sherry, Chair, Department of Radiology, Texas Health Dallas Presbyterian Hospital, spoke at RSNA 2011 on physician-hospital relationships.

Like any good relationship, getting along with the local hospital depends on having frequent, cooperative conversations. In a time when many radiologists worry about the hospital buying up referring practices and stealing customers, it’s vital to make sure you have a seat at the table, she said. Don’t expect to be able to call all the shots. Instead, come with the attitudes and approaches needed to make a win-win deal happen, she advised.

A spirit of cooperation is key.
