Radiology might not be a stranger to mergers, affiliations, and acquisitions, but the process can still be painful, Larry Muroff, MD, said at ACR 2015.The key points to a merger, Muroff said, are to make sure your interests are protected, but there should also be an understanding that some interests might have to be subjugated to the greater good of the entity itself.All is not rosy in the merger, affiliation, aggregation world, Muroff said, so it’s important to be aware of the problems you may face.
