Author(s)Jeff Hall

The Breast Suite software reportedly provides automated localization of regions of interest on mammograms as well as AI-enabled assessments of breast density and stratification of breast cancer risk for up to two years.

Combining artificial intelligence (AI)-powered technology for cancer detection and breast density assessment along with features to foster mammography workflow efficiencies, DeepHealth has launched the Breast Suite software platform.

The modular suite of AI-enabled applications includes ProFound Pro, which offers automated localization of suspicious regions on mammography. Other attributes of the Breast Suite software include AI-powered assessments for breast cancer development up to two years as well automated breast density assessment for 2D mammography or digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), according to DeepHealth.

The company said the BreastSuite software also allows multiple modality viewing, worklist triage, customizable reporting with guideline standardization and the incorporation of an AI-powered Safeguard Review workflow.

In a recent study involving 579,000 women, components of the BreastSuite software, including use of the aforementioned Safeguard Review workflow, facilitated a 21.6 increase in breast cancer detection.

“The launch of Breast Suite marks a pivotal step toward a new, AI-powered standard of care in breast cancer screening and diagnostic pathways,” said Kees Wesdorp, the president and CEO of DeepHealth. “By embedding detection and risk intelligence with workflow tools, we give radiologists more capabilities to detect cancers earlier, with more confidence and to elevate patient care.”
