A provider of advanced Internet Data Center (IDC) facilities and services, AccessColo, has increased its managed storage services, including an archival and retrieval service designed specifically for the healthcare industry. AccessDIVArchive is targeted to university and regional hospitals, healthcare networks, doctors, and other healthcare providers. The new service centralizes patient image archives and records, while allowing single or multifacility access to that data. This gives providers instant access to patient records, including medical images. It is the latest addition to the company’s portfolio: AccessStore and AccessSafe already offer primary or replicated storage locally or remotely in a SAN environment; AccessBackup and AccessSecure provide data backup and restoration and standard and customized security services; and AccessPortal offers a suite of Web-based tools that allow clients to monitor data storage.
