Enabling radiographic and low-dose fluoroscopy exams in the same room, the Adora DRFi system emphasizes a variety of advances for flexibility with patient positioning.
Offering the versatility of performing radiography exams along with the capability of facilitating low-dose fluoroscopy exams with the same device, Canon Medical Systems has launched the Adora DRFi system.
In order to reduce physician strain on staff and promote patient comfort, the Adora DRFi system provides an array of features to foster flexibility with patient positioning.

Allowing exposures from a variety of angles, the Adora DRFi system — which was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in December 2024 — offers independent movement with the device’s X-ray tube and detector arms as well as rotating ceiling unit, according to Canon Medical. The company said other aspects of the system include inMotion auto-positioning technology and a durable carbon fiber table that enables high load capacity and up to 340 degrees of rotation.
Additionally, Canon Medical says the system’s CDXI-RF Wireless B1 Detector allows for docking or wireless use in the exam room for fluoroscopy or radiography exams.
“This system combines versatility, efficiency, and advanced imaging technology in a way that redefines what’s possible in a hybrid radiography and fluoroscopy system,” noted Satrajit Misra, chief sales and marketing officer at Canon Medical Systems.
