Canadian software developer Cedara has struck a deal to provide its universal acquisition console application for integration with a new desktop CR unit being developed by Alara in Hayward, CA. The application, called I-Acquire, can obtain images from multiple CRs and digital detectors using a single user interface. It also features multiple control support, patient demographics, procedure input, intuitive image manipulation tools, and image enhancement algorithms that are automatically applied to optimize images.
