Fujifilm Slated to Launch New Enterprise Imaging Platform Synapse One at RSNA
The Synapse One platform reportedly offers a variety of enterprise imaging capabilities and may facilitate reduced third-party integration complexities and costs.
Amid a sea of imaging software applications, integration costs and declining reimbursements in radiology, Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation will launch the new enterprise imaging platform Synapse One at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference.

Recognizing the challenges and costs with juggling multiple systems and different imaging software, Synapse One enables interoperability and consolidation of imaging applications into one enterprise imaging platform, thereby reducing the integration strain and costs of working with multiple third-party vendors, according to Fujifilm.
“We wanted to set a high bar with Synapse One and lower current operational spending, while at the same time, deliver a better technology solution and deliver it in a more secure cloud environment,” noted Bill Lacy, the senior vice president of medical informatics global business at Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corporation. “By reducing the current operational spend we also free up dollars our customers can spend on important AI technology, pre-authorization tools, and other modernization initiatives they may have otherwise been holding back on.”
