The Voluson Performance 18 and 16 ultrasound devices reportedly combine enhanced imaging capabilities with AI-enabled efficiencies.

The newly launched Voluson Performance 18 and 16 ultrasound systems offer a variety of features to bolster image quality and improve workflow efficiency.

In addition to providing automated annotations and measurements of fetal anatomy, the SonoLyst suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features enable up to a 65 percent reduction in exam time for the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISOUG) second trimester exam, according to GE HealthCare, the manufacturer of the Voluson Performance 18 and 16 ultrasound devices.

The company added that the recently FDA-cleared ultrasound platforms combine shadow reduction capabilities with automatic gain adjustments to enhance image quality and uniformity. GE HealthCare noted that other attributes of the Voluson Performance 18 and 16 ultrasound devices include an updated touch panel interface and integrated wireless Vscan Air probes.

The Voluson Performance 18 and 16 ultrasound systems are being showcased at the 35th ISUOG World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology through September 17, 2025 in Cancun, Mexico.
