GE Medical Systems has added a mobile edition of its Signa CV/i cardiac MRI scanner to its product line. Signa CV/i (cardiovascular interactive) is a 1.5-tesla MRI system designed for cardiac applications. The unit was cleared by the Food and Drug Administration in 1998, and includes laser camera, coils, and accessories, as well as shielding for safe travel in the field. Waukesha, WI-based GE will place the unit through its mobile providers, AK Associates and Calumet Coach, both of Chicago, and Ellis & Watts of Cincinnati.
