Imaging services provider Health Images of Atlanta this month

announced that it plans to upgrade 33 of its imaging centers in

the U.S. and U.K. with its new HI Star 0.6-tesla MRI scanner (SCAN

9/27/95). HI Star will enable Health Images centers to conduct

advanced applications such as MR angiography and fast-imaging

techniques. Health Images last year had planned to sell HI Star

outside its network of centers, but since then has postponed those

plans. The company may consider sales to third parties on a selected

basis once its upgrade program is completed in 1997.
