MDI buys Meritus Health Services

Imaging services provider MedicalDiagnostics (MDI) completed its acquisition of Meritus HealthServices, a provider of mobile CT, MRI and nuclear medicine imagingservices. Meritus is based in Roanoke, VA, and serves 17 hospitalsin Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee. MDI is based in Burlington,MA.

MDI sees a turnaround opportunity in Meritus, which has beenoperating marginally in the red. The acquisition is part of MDI'splan to expand geographically into selected markets and grow itsradiology services business beyond MRI to other imaging modalities.
