In addition to high-quality X-ray and fluoroscopic images, the DRX-Excel Plus X-ray System provides automated filter selection, grid parking and positioning of table axes.
Offering an array of benefits to enhance workflow, minimize radiation dosing and increase patient comfort, Carestream Health has launched the DRX-Excel Plus X-Ray System.
Combining X-ray and fluoroscopic capabilities for a wide range of examinations, the DRX-Excel Plus X-Ray System gives radiologists a number of automated features to help simplify workflow.
Workflow enhancements include automated grid parking, which can be beneficial for pediatric and extremity evaluations, according to Carestream Health. The company adds another advantage with the DRX-Excel Plus X-Ray System is automated filter control that ensures appropriate filter selection, based on patient morphology and the exam being performed, as well as optimal radiation dosing.

Carestream Health added that another feature of the DRX-Excel Plus X-Ray System is the touch screen interface that shows relevant patient information and exam details and enables easy control of exam table movements.
“The expanded features, which are made easily accessible to radiographers, make the imaging workflow more efficient and easier,” said Marco Riolfo, the global marketing manager of digital radiography rooms at Carestream. “With increased efficiency, radiographers have additional time to focus on patients, which helps to ease patients’ anxiety and increases their satisfaction with the imaging experience.”
In addition to shorter exam times, Carestream Health said the X-ray system also retains patient comfort features such as ambient lighting and the industry’s lowest exam table height.
