Radiology.com has launched its first image-management product. The Chantilly, VA-based companys ImageBank and PatientExpress use a PC-based application service provider model to provide image management and archiving services to customers that may not be able to afford traditional PACS equipment, including smaller hospitals, imaging centers, independent radiologists, and even patients. Both patent-pending products use Java encryption and proprietary encryption technology and access a central, Web-based repository where digital images are permanently stored.

June 27th 2025While there was a decline of AUC for mammography AI software from breast-level assessments to lesion-level evaluation, the authors of a new study, involving 1,200 women, found that AI offered over a seven percent higher AUC for lesion-level interpretation in comparison to unassisted expert readers.
