The market for digital radiography is picking up, at least for Swissray International. The company has logged a dozen orders for its direct digital radiography systems over the last 10 weeks. Customers represent a diverse group of U.S. healthcare providers, ranging from large medical centers to outpatient imaging centers. The company’s long-time distribution partner Hitachi Medical Systems America landed most orders. One, however, came through Marconi Medical’s Health Care Products Division, which agreed to a distribution deal about two months ago (SCAN 7/9/01). In all, Swissray has received orders for more than 150 ddR systems in the U.S., Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Romania, Greece, Italy, Israel, Taiwan, and Switzerland.
