Will I have a job when I finish my residency?
It’s a major concern for radiology residents, said James Borgstede, MD, professor and vice chair of radiology at the University of Colorado and president of the American Board of Radiology.
“They will have a job, but they are going to have to be a little more adaptable,” he said, meaning they may have to move or choose a different size practice or subspecialty.
Another area really affecting residents is the new radiology board examination, which now includes a more robust initial examination.
