Cedara Software of Toronto has come up with a package that quickly renders 3D fetal views. The software is designed to allow sonographers to view 3D renderings as part of their usual workflow routine through the use of image acquisition and rendering controls that minimize the need for training, according to the Canadian company. Dubbed Baby Explorer, the software-only solution works with any existing ultrasound system. Images can be saved in a variety of formats, including JPEG, BMP, and even AVI files for movie images. The package has already been installed in more than 30 sites in North America, South America, and Asia.
