Imaging film company Agfa has acquired the Vari-X and VariCath cine film business from GE Marquette Medical Systems, a subsidiary of GE Medical Systems of Milwaukee. Ridgefield Park, NJ-based Agfa has manufactured the cine film that GE Marquette has distributed for 20 years under its own brand names. The film is used with x-ray systems to record coronary artery images.
