Intelligent Systems Software of Boca Raton, FL, a developer of computer-aided detection technology for mammography, has engaged Instrumentarium Imaging to distribute its new MammoReader. The CAD system, which is under review at the FDA, will be distributed in the U.S. under an exclusive agreement with Instrumentarium. The MammoReader System is designed to assist radiologists as they read screening mammograms. Algorithms analyze digitized mammograms, highlighting areas that contain features associated with cancer. The intent is to help radiologists review potential problem areas in more detail.
