Camino Software Systems of Calabasas, CA, has acquired a software product line that may make it easier for hospitals with PACS networks to manage their archives. Camino's Highway Server software enables users to automatically move data from a hard-disk archive to optical-disk jukeboxes over a LAN, WAN, Internet, or intranet. Camino acquired Highway Server from IDAS and is selling the product through value-added resellers for $4995 per server and $150 per user.
