Del Global Technologies signed a distribution agreement with the European Distribution Organization granting the EDO the right to act as the exclusive distributor of Del Globals medical imaging systems.
Countries in the EDO include Poland, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Greece, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Russia, and others in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Del Global president and CEO Leonard Trugman said he looks forward to the increased presence of his company in these countries.
Del Global obtained a 19% stake in Villa Sistemi in January, along with the nonrevocable option to increase its ownership share to 80%, and it decided to exercise that option in April (SCAN 5/10/00). This month, the FDA gave its approval for Del Global to market Villa Sistemis Vision tilting table for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations.
Del Global is a Valhalla, NY-based designer, developer, and manufacturer of medical and dental imaging systems. Villa Sistemi is based in Milan, Italy (SCAN 6/21/00).
