Digital radiography headed upstream recently as part of a research study to examine Atlantic salmon. The University of St Andrews in Scotland used a portable digital radiography system built by Xograph Imaging Systems to x-ray 230 salmon for skeletal deformities. The DR product incorporates a Canon CXDI-31 flat-panel detector. This is the second nontraditional outing for Xograph's DR. The first was a radiographic examination of Queen Nefertiti in Egypt.
