Second Look, a computer-aided detection system for mammography developed by CADx Medical Systems, has cleared another regulatory hurdle. The FDA cleared a system upgrade for the export of digitized images and CAD results to a PACS or archive using a DICOM-standard interface. The ability to store analog images on a PACS is a critical step toward creating a totally digital record in mammography, according to the company.
