Data storage manufacturer Fujitsu Computer Products of America demonstrated a PC-based display and manipulation solution for ultrasound images at the 10th Congress of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology June 1 to 4 in Montreal. The technology was shown in collaboration with Trillium Technology, a medical imaging software and consulting company. The product features a 2.3-GB removable storage drive with a high-speed universal serial bus (USB). The magneto-optical drive is able to transfer large DICOM ultrasound video and image files to a notebook PC armed with Trillium Showcase Clinical Case Presentation Tools software for offline viewing and editing.
