Giotto USA will be demonstrating at RSNA 2011 its 3D and 3DL digital mammography systems, which recently received FDA 510(k) clearance.
The Giotto systems include a ring-shaped tilting gantry, which the company said provides for patient-friendly face-to-face positioning and easier positioning for the technologist. The 3D has an 18 x 24 cm bucky, and the 3DL has a 24 x 30 cm bucky.
Other features of the systems include Insight View, Giotto’s new image processing software with the second generation Selenium Detector technology, inclined positioning for better visualization, and the opportunity to add the Biopsy Digit stereotactic biopsy device.
