Imaging center firm HealthCare Imaging Services of Middletown, NJ, plans to beef up its presence in its home state by acquiring five imaging centers. The aggregate purchase price of the centers is $21 million, and HCIS expects the facilities to generate $11 million in revenues and $2.5 million in pretax profits annually. The acquisition will improve the company's efforts to expand in the New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia regions, according to HCIS president and CEO Elliott Vernon. HCIS currently operates six imaging centers.
