Howard debuts video camera for laptop PCs

Camarillo, CA-based Howard Enterprises has introduced TeleCam LT, a video camera targeted specifically at laptop or notebook computers.

Featuring a built-in microphone, focusable glass lens, auto iris with back light compensation, and auto white balance, TeleCam LT can be mounted on either side of the laptop bezel using a clip-on mount. TeleCam LT offers 330 lines of horizontal resolution with a signal-to-noise ratio of 48 dB, according to Howard.

TeleCam LT has potential applications in the videoconferencing, video mail, multimedia, medical, insurance, training, and education fields, according to the company. TeleCam LT's suggested retail price is $299.
