Imaging center firm ImageAmerica has changed its name to MedAlliance. The new name reflects the changesthat have occurred at the Nashville company since it embarkedon a strategy to acquire physician group practices as a meansof compensating for declines in imaging reimbursement and utilizationrates (SCAN 3/2/94).
MedAlliance will also pursue relationships with hospitals andmanaged-care networks to enhance its existing imaging business,according to the company.
