An exclusive three-year distributorship agreement was announced Dec. 19 between Imatron and two Japanese companies, Marubeni and Meditec. Under the agreement, Marubeni will be the exclusive distributor of electron beam tomography scanners in Japan and Meditec will be the only company to import and service the scanners in that country. The agreement will garner Imatron about Yen 500 million (approximately $4.5 million).
