Philips Medical Systems has installed its 1000th image and information management system. Many, but not all, of the systems are PACS. The leap forward is due in large part to the installed bases that have come along with Philips’ recent spate of corporate acquisitions. About 70% of the 1000 installed systems are operating in the U.S.
