A Web-based electronic medical record developed by LanVision Systems has begun penetrating the marketplace under the tutelage of Siemens Medical Solutions. The Novius Imaging for Medical Records is being installed at Pinnacle Health System, a four-facility network located in Harrisburg, PA; 500-bed St. Vincent’s Health System in Erie, PA; and Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland. LanVision and Siemens entered a remarketing agreement in 1998, enabling Siemens to include LanVision’s Web-based application suite with its Novius Imaging System as a fully integrated electronic medical record solution. Novius can manage multimedia objects, including document and medical images.
