Merge Technologies has released its next-generation MergePort, which integrates information from hospital and radiology information systems with diagnostic imaging technologies. MergePort acts as the interpreter between multiple HIS/RIS and PACS/imaging networks, or any other clinical system that utilizes HL7 communications. MergePort receives, converts, and dispatches HL7, DICOM, and custom-formatted messages, securely integrating healthcare applications, imaging modalities, PACS, image archives, and clinical repositories.
