Siemens Medical Systems will feature two mobile x-ray systems at the RSNA meeting. The Mobilett XP and Mobilett XP Hybrid, which cleared the FDA this month, provide up to 10 times more power, yet maintain compact footprints and lightweight design for maneuverability. The self-calibrating platform delivers up to 30 kW and 360 mAs and enables exposure times down to 1 msec. The systems weigh about half as much as comparable mobile x-ray systems. The hybrid configuration can run off rechargeable batteries or a conventional wall power supply.
