Mobile P.E.T. Systems this month opened its first PET center in London. The London P.E.T. Centre is the first privately owned PET center in the U.K. All other PET systems are located in hospitals run by the public health system, the National Health Service.

The National Health Service will provide experienced PET specialists from London's Middlesex Hospital to work with Mobile P.E.T. staff members at the center, which uses a GE Medical system (SCAN 3/29/00). Mobile P.E.T. Systems is headquartered in San Diego.
