Philips Medical Systems introduced May 22 the Performance 2004 hardware/software upgrade for its EnVisor ultrasound system. The upgrade primarily addresses ob/gyn applications, promising improved image clarity, a wider array of functions, and ease-of-use advances. Three new transducers allow enhanced breast and endovaginal imaging, as well as sensitive color flow and Doppler imaging for obstetric and pediatric applications. New capabilities include comprehensive fertility analysis and measurements to support nuchal translucency evaluation.
