Siemens Medical Solutions has signed an agreement to license several PointDx patents related to virtual endoscopy. The technology produces 3D images of body cavities, including the colon and vasculature. Although founded in 1999 as a virtual endoscopy developer, PointDx has broadened its vision to include all of 3D medical visualization and the electronic medical record.
